Medical claims recovery for hospitals
Your international patient claims are being underpaid. We recover the difference.
Every claim is reviewed by clinicians against a documented methodology, and our fee is only ever paid from what we recover.
Start a conversationThe problem
Underpayment is routine, and it is rarely contested.
Why claims settle short
Insurers bundle distinct treatments into single payments, down-code procedures, dispute length of stay, and settle late. Each adjustment is small enough to pass without comment. Across a year of international activity, they compound.
Why hospitals rarely contest it
Contesting a settlement takes clinicians who can defend the care and lawyers who can carry the claim. Finance teams have neither to spare. Reopening individual invoices is hard to justify, so the shortfall stands.
What it costs
The care has been delivered and the cost incurred. Whatever the insurer declines to pay is written off, quietly, year after year. It is income for work already done, and it is recoverable.
How we work
Four stages, in order.
-
Review
We examine a sample of settled international claims against the clinical record. This establishes where, and by roughly how much, settlements have fallen short.
-
Validate
Clinicians assess what care was justified and whether it was correctly coded. Every opinion is standard-driven, documented, and referenced to the record.
-
Negotiate
We put the validated position to the insurer and negotiate toward the true value of the claim. The strength of the file does most of the work.
-
Recover
Where negotiation is not enough, the claim passes to a solicitor through a separate legal entity. Most matters settle well before that point.
The difference
Most firms offer one of these. We built the firm around all four.
Clinician-led validation
Clinical opinions are formed by clinicians, against published standards, on the record. That is what gives the file its weight when the insurer's own advisers examine it.
Solicitor-led recovery
Where a claim needs legal weight, it is carried by a solicitor through a separate legal entity. The route to recovery is in place before it is needed.
Contingency pricing
Our fee is a share of what we recover, agreed in advance. The hospital carries no retainer, no hourly rates, and no risk.
International patient claims
One class of claim, studied closely. International billing is where underpayment concentrates, and where a documented method earns its keep.
Pricing
We are paid from what we recover. If we recover nothing, you pay nothing.
The fee is a fixed percentage of recovered value, agreed before any work begins. There are no retainers and no hourly rates, and finding out what you are owed costs nothing.
Next step
Find out what your settled claims were actually worth.
A first review of a sample of settled claims is without cost or commitment. It quantifies the deficit. What you do with that number is up to you.
